Originally the 150 acres of Marwood was the estate of Sam Martin, who in the 1930's built a French Chateau for his Zigfried Follies bride. The original magnificent Chateau at the end of Riverview Drive has been preserved and overlooks the Potomac River .

The Historic Gatehouse shown above was the main entrance to the original estate. The Historic Gatehouse was preserved and later renovated by Bogdan Builders. We have proudly modeled our business Logo after this image. Its unique solid construction with solid masonry, walls and floors displays the strength of our company and our willingness to creatively incorporate the old with the new.
