Milestones

Beginning as a home remodeling and contracting company in 1988, Bogdan Builders expanded and is now a full-service development firm with investment and management divisions, Bogdan Capital and Bogdan Management.
Bogdan Builders has since completed numerous developments and acquisitions, maintaining an enduring commitment to enhancing the communities through our projects.

As a full-service developer, we have the ability to rapidly move any project from site selection, acquisition, financing, construction, leasing, property management and maintenance.

1988

Bogdan Builders was founded by Christopher J. Bogdan, with a focus on home remodeling and contracting. Soon thereafter, our focus transitioned to building large, custom homes, for individuals in some of the most prestigious infill subdivisions in Potomac and Bethesda, Maryland. Bogdan Builders has since completed numerous developments and acquisitions, maintaining an enduring commitment to enhancing the communities through our projects.

Our team focuses on development of single-family and residential condominium communities located within the Greater Washington, DC metro area.​

1991

Bogdan’s foray as a real estate developer begins with the very successful co-development of the historic Marwood subdivision of 48 lots in Potomac, MD, formally the Gore estate. This coincided with the time when the nation was experiencing the Savings & Loan financial crisis.

Our years of local experience provides us with a significant advantage over other acquisition and development companies.

1992-1997

The firm continues to develop land on its own, consisting of numerous subdivision estates within the metro area, such as the Riverwood and River Oaks subdivisions, located in Potomac, Maryland. This included speculative homes, custom homes and selling lots to other builders.

We've developed close relationships with strategic partners, lenders, municipalities and real estate professionals throughout our tenure.

1998-2001

We reduce our single-family home building division, divesting our remaining residential inventory of lots. We began to transition into the Washington D.C residential market.

We are relationship-driven developers with experience, integrity, and strong personal ties to the area.

2002-2008

We have had a major role in transforming Washington, DC’s 14th Street corridor into what it is today, with landmark residential projects such as Logan Station, Villaggio and Cityscape, among others. By adhering to our motto, Quality Speaks for Itself, Bogdan Builders consistently outsold the competition. Our sales capability was even more evident, delivering and selling out all inventory at a profit during the Great Recession, when other developers were not so fortunate.

Our team is constantly striving to put forth the best product in the marketplace, from both visual and functional perspectives.

2009-2013

Bogdan Capital, the investment arm of our company, is established to take advantage of changing market conditions. Bogdan Management, the management division of Bogdan Builders, was officially established via the acquisition of multifamily apartment complexes located in DC, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. Bogdan Management was able to successfully reposition the assets in a short time frame.

We are an award-winning, detail-oriented and customer-friendly company, known for its ability to consistently add value.

Present

Today, the Bogdan Companies make up a full-service real estate investment and development firm. Having developed, sold, financed, and managed large volumes of residential units within the Washington, DC metro area, we have been able to maintain our perfect track record of returning 100% of funds with profit to our investors, while also delivering high-quality projects.
